The photographer

Watching one place change over time

I like to stay with a place long enough to notice what changes in the light. Over the years I have returned to the same valleys, hedgerows, and wetlands, tracking how weather and season reshape them.

Some days the photograph is the point; other days, the walk gives me something to write about. Both begin with time spent outdoors.

How I work

Patient observation, honest light

I work with available daylight and let the weather decide the mood. I avoid staging and artificial glow, and I frame wide views alongside close details of plants and small wildlife. Documentary discipline grows from patience on foot.

I try to describe what I saw without making it bigger than it was. Respect for ecosystems means keeping a light footprint, returning to the same places across all seasons, and accepting the quiet reality of what is actually there.
